The two Masters of Ceremony were actors from The Lubuski Theatre: Janusz Młyński and Wojciech Brawer.
Many film makers and audiences from Poland and across Europe visited our festival. The normally „rustic” Nysa Cinema became the centre of the cinematic world in Lubuskie Region by hosting hundreds of cinema fans during the final three days of Quest Europe.
From the competitive section of Quest Europe, the jury granted the awards to films from Poland, Belarus, Russia and Germany.
The jury members frequently emphasised the high quality of films presented at the competitive stage and were astonished by the ambience of the festival and the beauty of the region:
It has been a great time! I am very grateful for the invitation and all the great things I have experienced here. It is a special event and it is a pity, it has finished already. The films viewed here and people, who I have had honour to meet – all this moved my heart and I am deeply enchanted by all of this!
Piotr Machalica
I just love Quest Europe! It is amazing that in Zielona Góra, which is not a big city, an event can be organized by just a few people with many fantastic screenings and such artistic ambience! I have been to many places around the world, but my visit to Quest Europe and the pulse of the festival made me feel as if I would be in a cinematic world worth of any metropolis.
I admire the organisers for their stunning ideas, persistence and the fact that everything was „wired for sound”. They put their heart and soul into the organization of the festival and it was a great honour for me to be a jury member and by this chance to get know many fantastic people. Zielona Góra is a beautiful and charming place. Viva Polska!

I would like to express my thanks for being invited to be a jury member. I never excepted what I experienced here! Everything from A to Z was prepared with great care starting with selected competitive films and finishing with the ogranization of the smallest details. Great jury members, marvelous ambience, fantastic new friendships and a lot of fun!
It is amazing that a splendid festival can be organized by such a small group of people! My films were screened at various festivals and I have to admit that no other festival made such an impression on me! Congratulations to the organisers and once again it was a great honour for me to take part in this festival.
David Bonneville
I have come back home. What a stunning and fantastic event! Never in my life, and I say this with conviction, have I met such creative people! It was a great pleasure for me to visit Quest Europe again and to spend many marvelous moments here amongst many wonderful people. I leave Zielona Góra astonished!

In 2010, the 6th Edition of the MFKA Quest Europe concluded with a closing gala at the Nysa Cinema.
As
in previous editions, this year's final events were filled with a host
of entertainment for all fans of film. The master of ceremonies were
none other than 'Charlie Chaplin' (played by Dariusz Roźniata) and
'Marlene Dietrich' (played by Natalia Zielińska).
The
closing gala was attended by the makers of films within the competition
who came from all over Poland as well as further afield from Spain and
Germany. The biggest highlight of the event was meetings with artists alongside
the 'Stars Cinema' Film Series.
Within
the seminar 'With an Artist at a Small Table' we were joined by the
distinguished actress Joanna Szczepkowska and the Spanish actor Asier
Muniz.
Joanna Szczepkowska was awarded the honourable statuette WIELKI UKŁON (OBEISANCE) 'for all the beauty the soul of the audience was filled and satiated with'.
The meeting with Joanna was hosted by Dr. Jolanta Kostecka, lecturer at Lubuska School of Television and Film and the University of Zielona Góra.
Afterwards the audience had a unique opportunity to ask questions. The meeting concluded with a parody
of the balcony scene from "Romeo and Juliet" which starred Joanna
(winner of the OBEISANCE statuette) and Dariusz Roźniata. Apart from
the statuette the actress has been granted gifts by Stanisław
Domaszewicz from Departament of Culture on behalf of the Mayor of
Zielona Góra and the Marshal of Lubuskie Voivodeship.
The seminar of our other special guest of final gala - Asier Muniz was hosted by Czesław Markiewicz - a journalist of Radio Zachód. The actor related film meetings with Pedro Almodovar, his days performing in street
theatre
and the position of young actors in Spain. He was immensely impressed
with films presented at Quest Europe Festival as well as the festival
itself and that being a jury member was a
great pleasure for him.
During
the festival's final events the jury has seen 26 films in competition
(preselected by the selection committee from over 250 entries). In

film gems from all over the
