The first edition of our festival took place in the year 2005 and it was all-Poland event.

The following year some productions from several European countries were presented which were shown mainly within the frame of special off-competition screenings and the next edition became already a prestigious international contest with participating artists from over a dozen countries and with films appraised by the most distinguished names in the world of film.

Beginning from the II Edition the Quest Europe has been entitled to award nominations for annual Jan Machulski Awards (OFFskar Awards).

Starting with the III edition we hand out during the Quest Europe Festival the honourable statuettes WIELKIE UKŁONY (OBEISANCES) granted to the most prominent artists "for all the beauty the soul of the audience was filled and satiated with".

During several editions of the festival we had the honour of inviting to Zielona Góra many outstanding artists a.o. Marzena Trybała, Ewa Szykulska, Tomasz Raczek, Derrick Ogrodny. We have presented all together over thousand of artistic films and have organised several photo exhibitions, concerts and cabaret performances.
