FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa

R E G U L A T I O N

 

§ 1

 

FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa is open for filmmakers from Europe who create their films outside of the commercial system.

Duration of applying films can not be longer than 60 minutes and not older than from 2003 year of production.

§ 2

The Organizers reserve the right to accept longer running films for artistic purposes.

§ 3

There is no fee for film entry. Every author (producer)can submit an unlimited number of films.

§ 4

Each film should have its title and the "the end" text. All films are to be submitted in DVD format. The dvd record must have readable description with the film's title, director, the film's length and the english subtitle (for films done in other languages than english or polish) and: the entry form, two frames in jpg format and the CD with a few sentences about the movie.

§ 5

We do not accept films made for commercial purposes or the films made in co-operation with members of  the Jury or the Pre-selection Commission or with the organizers comitete.

§ 6

All submitted films will be selected for the competition by the Pre-Selection Commission. Decisions of the selection Comitete being final and no corespondence will be entered into.

§ 7

Copies of films submitted for selection will not be returned. Films not accepted by the selection commitete to summer festival may be present in special shows FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa in the artistic pubs and  the centres of culture in Lubuskie from october 2006  to june 2007.

§ 8

By applying films for the competition the producer gives the right for the public presentation of the film at the Festival presentations and special shows promoting the FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa festival and also other free shows organized by Lubuska Szkoła Telewizji i Filmu.

§ 9

The producer submitting a film which hasn’t been presenting before expresses agreement to first public presentation of this film.

§ 10

The program of festival:

-          Cycle  THE ENAMOURED MUSE - outside shows in Lubuski Teatr: 13.07, 27.07, 10.08, 24.08 - 21.00-23.00 – everything about love

-          Outside shows (not competition) 4.08, 11.08, 18.08, 25.08 in the garden of Blues Express pub in the centre of Zielona Góra (animations, experimentals, documents, fabular)

-          Main competiotion of plot and documentary films 26-27 of august 2006 in the cinema „Newa

-          Other art events: cabaret, theater, prelections about films, etc -  26-27 of august 2006 in the cinema „Newa

§ 11

The Jury of professional filmmakers will evaluate films presented in the main competition.

§ 12

Place and time of the main competiotion: 26 and 27 of august 2006r in the cinema „Newa

§ 13

Awards:

GRAND PRIX in the plot category

GRAND PRIX in the documentary category

SPECIAL PRICE FROM LUBUSKA SZKOLA TELEWIZJI I FILMU – for the authors from Poland

and distinctions.

The jury also have the right to grant Honourable Diplomas.

Nominations for OFFskars OFFsakrs in seven categories will be given for the following : the best actor, the best actress, the best screenplan, the best pictures, the best editing, the best film and the best direction.

§ 14

The director of the festival reserves to herself the right to grant extra-schedule prizes and to a different award of prizes.

§ 15

The official notice of the verdict will happen 27 august 2006r at 18.00. Prizes

will be handed over to the laureates on the same day during the ceremony of the official ending of the festival FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa.

§ 16

Films submitted to FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa stay in the archives of the festival’s organizating body. (Lubuska Szkoła Telewizji i Filmu).

 

§ 17

The copyrights of the films must not be limited and must not infringe on the copyrights of others.In case of concealing any information about the legal status of the entered film, the Participant covers all cost of legal activities resulting from the presentation of claims concerning the infringement of copyright.

§ 18

The producers submitting a film to the festival agrees to submission of fragments of films  with the purpose of promoting the festival.

 

§ 19

Every film has to be recorded on a separate print and every film should have front titles (the title, duration, the names of the filmmakers and the system on format of the recording) and be completed with "The End" Every film print must be properly packed with protection from mechanical damages.

§ 20

The producers of films submitted to the festival  agree to the procesing of the personal date

for the needs of promoting films in internet and  within massmedia (according to law from the day 29 August 1997 r.  about the protection of the personal data, DZ.U. No. 133, p. 883).

 

§ 21

The awards will be given only to the authors of awarded films, or persons  representing them. The Participants who are absent at the closing ceremony will receive special diplomas and the text of the verdict of the Jury.

§ 22

The entries must be sent to:  Akademia Twórczych Poszukiwań - Lubuska Szkoła Telewizji i Filmu,  ul.Festiwalowa 3, 65-550 Zielona Góra. The deadline for receiving films with an enclosed entry form and promotional materials (photos etc) is 15.05 2006.

§ 23

The organizers do not take responsibility for undelivered or delayed films (to the main competition)

§ 24

The organizer does not assure accomodation and does not return the costs of the trip and board.

 

§ 25

The Organizers do not get benefits from the festival presentations.

 

§ 26

 

The notification to FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa means that the author accept  thiese regulation  without any restrictions.

 

§ 27

 

The technical director of festival FILMOWA GÓRAeuropa - Grzegorz Potęga

is responsible for technical matters.
